Visiting Santa, sort of...

We're still playing a bit of catch-up... Back in December, I dressed Makenna up to go sit on Santa Claus's lap at Sam's Club. When we got there, she freaked out and didn't want anything to do with Santa! She threw a holy fit and was screaming her head off, so we opted not to take any pictures on Santa's lap. When we got home I took some pictures of her in her pretty outfit by the tree anyway...

Star gymnast in the making!!!

So since mama was a gymnast as a kid, we thought Makenna might like to give it a try too! In December we took her for a trial class at Kids Are Tops in Centerville, and she just loved it!!! Here is Makenna going over the vault for the first time with Daddy helping her...

More playing catch up! Beggar's Night

Although Makenna was born last year before Beggar's Night, this was her first year to go trick or treating! She dressed up as a "flower fairy" and was SUPER cute. The costume was supposed to have a headband with it, but Makenna wasn't having that, so we just did some pig tails instead. Here she is checking out all the kids coming up the sidewalk in their costumes...

Playing catch up... Makenna's birthday

Ok! It has been quite a while since my first post! I am going to go back in time just a bit to re-cap some of our recent events. I am going to start with a few pictures from Makenna's birthday party. Makenna turned 1 on Sep 29, and her party was on Saturday, Oct 4, 2008. We held a backyard barbecue with about 30 of our closest friends and family, and everyone had a great time!

Here is a picture of Makenna on her actual birthday... mama remembered at the last minute before bedtime that I needed to take a few pictures of her! She was a tired little girl...

The morning of Makenna's birthday party, she also had swimming lessons down at the Kettering Rec. Makenna's Grandma Deb and Grandma Jo also went to watch lessons! This picture was taken before we got in the cold, cold water...
